Sister's house

I'm house sitting for my sister, which means highspeed. Yaaaay! :D I really don't want to work tonight :(

So my sister's wedding was awesome. I pretty sure she broke every stereotype of a bride there is. Several examples;

Holding/drinking beer in over half of the PHOTOGRAPHER'S pictures
crowdsurfing at the dance-part
cow-kissing the preist
her wedding had macaroni and cheese as well as hotdogs
the bride and groom on her cake were toy cars painted up like derby cars... and one had a veil glued on top.
she dared the lady who made her cake to take a bite out of it, and, sure enough, when the cake came... there was a set of gummy dentures in the back XD
her wedding party danced to "Friends in low places" by Garth Brooks
the vases on the tables were empties with lilacs she picked from her house in them
mini-strawbales were available for people to take home
she had a farmer's tan
she was only getting married in the first place to have a stag and doe
her dad andher husband's dad traded cattle as a dowry
one of the wedding guests brought her a turkey and a chicken as a present... right to the party... hahaha. XD

that's all i can remember. that night was... fuzzy for me. sooo much alcomahol was involved. XD

Anyways, I've been house sitting for her and I got to play with her dog (Nikko!) and eat her food (but the cerial wasn't so great. I forgot she's lactose intolerant and soy milk != tasties. :( bleh).

I do have to go to work tonight which sucks.

As well, I have to o her gardening for her. I was gonna do it today, then I was gonna put it off 'til tomorrow, then mom informed me that it's going to rain the next three days. -sighs- Guess I better get to it then, eh?

Well no moar blogging for me then. In the meantime, though...

I have four new favourite characters in Black Lagoon. :D
First it was Eda. Then we meet Rico! So then he was my favourite! Then Mother Superior comes in and SHE became my favourite, and then the cleaner, oh my goodness! She's amazing!

Don't get me wrong, I still love Revy, Benny, and Dutch, but geeeeez, this episode r0x0r'd my b0x0rz.

RUN FOR THE HILLS!

I have to draw a picture of Anna-Marie and Kenny so that she can put it in a frame with a huuuuge mat so people can sign it and I don't want to. o_o

As well, I watched Steamboy last night. Goodness gracious I have a new favourite movie. (Okay, well, it doesn't replace True Lies but it's a close second). Yeah. Still too brain-overloaded to ramble about how good it is. But Ooooh, believe me, it is good. It doesn't help I watched the english and the chick who voiced Scarett is also the person who voiced Anemone from Eureka 7. She's my vavourite Voice Actress. She's awersome.

But anywho...
Gotta work tomorrow, bah. sucks.

SATURDAY! SEVEN O'CLOCK. MY HOUSE. STAR WARS NIGHT! Yeeeey. =3 all of you all are invited.
What's to be expected;
-Star Wars movies
-some drinking (most likely not from me)
-lightsabre fights (Lisa-Lisa's idea)

But yeah. Ahem. That's about it.

Oh, wait, before I go, here's somehting amazing and I likes it so much. So much I finished loading it on dial up lolwhut.

two moar done...

The one that is coloured and looks painting is the painting I did.

Since I couldn't find my matte, I just used watercolours to colour... on top of acrylics... er... I'm not a fan of the colours. o_o My mom is in love with it though, hahah. The other problem with not having my matte is that I won't be able to seal it properly. Damn damn damn. Ah well.

The second one is just a quick drawing, outlined with those awesome pens Julie got me for my birthday last year (God I love those things. Remind me again to thank her).

But yeah... I have time for about one more picture, then I gotta shower, and head off to Sarnia to that battle of the bands thing that's tonight. w00t w00t Wellington. Anywho.

I've always wanted to do a sketch of a kid!angel watching over a turtle that's crossing a road... ahaha... lame, I know, but it's something I've wanted to do. Maybe I'll do that now... hmmm...

Anyways, the art fair is tomorrow, Saturday, starting at 2pm. It's at St. Philip's Parish Hall, which is that building literally right behind the Bargain Shop in P-town thurr. I think at one point there's going to be a break for Mass; I think about 4:45 - 6:00ish? I might stay in the hall though... I'm not sure. It's supposed to be closed around then, but I dunno... thought I'd just warn all y'all just in case.

But yeah. Come on out, bring your family, take a good look around and maybe even buy stuff from some local artists~
Sadly Floyd Gibson won't be selling this year because he died in the fall. :( I'm sad, because he was an amazing artist (his watercolour works! ohmahye! jawdrop!) and he's the one who convinced me to start selling my art, and he helped me start out selling too. He taught me many things. Aeriel Lyons, sadly, will not be selling this year. But Pat Towers is! Haha, yes, I talked her into it. XD She's way too amazing with acryllics. It makes me feel like my stuff is the crap I cranked out when I was in JK or SK. hahaha. But anyways...

I hope this years goes better than last year. :( Last years Art Fair was a total flop. It stank worse than my room at Ridgetown this past year. Yeah, that bad. DX SO PLEASE COME OUT YOU GUYS? We need as many people to show up as we can get. ;_;

But I should get back to drawing... bye~ <3

When you walk my way, hope it gives you hell, hope it gives you hell

I'm annoyed. I planned on spending today - the day before the art fair - painting.

Two problems;

Can't find my my bottle pf glossy matte stuff (therefore I won't be able to add colour to my paintings.)
Can't find my paint brushes.

...Okay, well, I can find SOME of them, but they're all the ones I don't use, and for good reasons. These ones shed and leave little bristles all over my paintings, and as well, they're all those awkwards sized that are neither big enough to be useful nor small enough to be useful. wtf,gtfo. Yeah.

On the positive side, while looking for said matte and brushes, I found my actual paints (yaaay, I don't have to use mom's crappy stuffs), and a bunch more canvases. Even found one of my big unfinished one from a year or two ago! :O :O :O

But anywhooo

I only have... one new thing done for this year -sighs- I should be painting, not blogging, but I'm waiting for the white base coat to dry. My tube of white was empty so I had to use my mommy's crappy bottle of white. And for some weird reason, even though it IS acrylic, it's taking forever to dry. o_o But yeah. I might just paint for notverylong and then get to drawing something, because that's less time consuming. yeah.

But here's what I do have.

I actually don't like this picture very much. Well, I like how it came out, but at the same time, I don't. Er, how to explain... well, I tried something completely different (colouring wise) with this one and I like it. It involved prismacolor markers, pencil crayons, coloured mechanical pencil lead, and... well, a lot of time. XD So I like how the colouring and line art and proportions and all that came out, but, I don't like the picture itself. Like, if I were a person toolin' around the Art Fair, and I saw it, I'd be like, "Eh, no, I don't want to buy that." Yeah.

anywho, before I get back to struggling with acrylics, the other day mom and I visited a big craft store in London called Micheal's. There's so much shit there it took me a half hour before I could even think about what I needed/wanted. I seriously felt my brain folding in on itself. I couldn't even think. It was awesome! but overwhelming!.

Anyways, here's what I bought there;

- 3 Prismacolor markers - a colourless blender (which I needed), brick white (good for shading), and a nice skin coloured one (called light peach).
- A really good set of pens that was on clearance (therefore cheap, so I bought). I'm seriously in love with these. They're called Nexus Pens - and good God I am seriously madly in love with these. They write so smooth, and I don't mean feeling wise - nice, even coats of a very beautiful ink that makes my spirits soar just by using. The set comes with various browns and golds and greys and blacks, and goodness, I love them. Moving along.
- A few small canvases.
- A really, really, really big sketchbook. It's called "Biggie" and I believe it. 18" by 24" - that's fucking huge. 125 pages, to boot. This thing is so heavy and clumsy to lug around and I have to turn it sideways to get it through a door. XD I <3s it muchly. I've always wanted a huge sketchbook and now I've got one and I can't keep myself away from it. XD

Also, for the title of my blog, I shall explain. The All-American Rejects, When the World Comes Down. What a great CD! I downloaded it mostly for "Gives You Hell" (good song, quoted in title) but every other song on there is so catchy and good I love to listen to it. XD I like the song "Mona Lisa" the best, I dunno, it has a great feel to it. Yeah.

But I should go paint. -sighs-

Oh! Wait! I had a dream last night. A fucking weird dream.

Okay, so all week, I've been up til midnight, 1, and even once 3 in the morning reading "The Day of Revolution". Yes I'm that addicted, and yes, my Internet is that slow. but yeah, last night, I had a dream that I realize now has probably sprung from being so tired while reading such a mindfuck!manga. (A good mindfuck, it doesn't make me shit bricks, it just makes my brain twist and turn and blow itself up. It's that amazing.) I only remember one or two things in my dream, and one of them was a really, really weird looking urinal. And I don't remember actually doing it, but I guess in the dream I had to pee in it? Either I did or I was going to. I don't know.

But I'm seriously thinking once I finish this one I'm going to lay off the manga with genderbending in it (okay, i guess Day of Revolution really doesn't have very much genderbending/crossdressing at all, but it still gave me a fucked up dream D:)

But yeah. I gotta go paint. Bye.

Work Sucks, I Know // Yaaay I'm a llama again!

So work was hectic. A load from Valleybrook came in and they couldn't unload at the centre because he didn't have a lift so he had to unload at the back of the store, so I had to drag all the plants on really tall, awkward, crappy carts all the way across the parking lot at the grocery store. ...And one didn't fit through the door. It was stuck in the store. wtf?! So anyways, Paula, who works with me and had been helping me, had worked over time just to help me and she wanted to go home, so she left. The new grocery store owner, Heidi, well, I met her for the first time today in the middle of all this and ohmygod!Whatalady. She's awesome! But I digress, back to bitching about the load that came in. So I had to go empty and bring up one of the other carts and move all the stuff over, but oh, this cart didn't have as many shelves. So after dragging it all the way to the centre, unloading it onto the table space I didn't have, and dragging it all the way back up to the store in order to repeat the process, I realized I was fucking hungry. So I emptied all the carts I could, hauled down the rest of the perrenials to the garden centre, got one of the people in the store to help me tip the empty cart in order to get it out the door (luckily Michelle Gerrits was just coming in the store, and since she thinks I'm cool shit she helped us out. I don't know who I love more now, her or her kids. God I love her kids.), so after all this messiness was done... oh, say, three hours later? I managed to jog up to the store (once again) buy myself some dinner, sit myself down and enjoy my chicken strips and potato wedges. Then I watered some of the stuff that came in, texted Rosstopher for a bit, then he came by to pester me at work because there was no customers in and I was bored.

So then I closed up around nine and headed out to Timmies with Rosstopher, because Timmies was warm and had caffine and I was cold and tired. lol.

So Jess B. was there, and she got her (boy?)friend to buy me an iced capp. Yaaay free caffine! So we chilled with her a bit, then my mom called and told me to rent a movie, but we didn't wind up renting one cause movie zone was closed. So I just took Rosstopher to my house, and we watched half of The Emperor's New Groove with my mom, but she went to bed, so me and Ross watched the rest then I took him home.

And now I'm home and I'm blogging. But I should be sleeping because I'm so tired my knees hurt and I gotta go to London tomorrow with mom to see my dad for the first time in three days.

His new job as an important person on Ontario's Pork board is kinda lame because I don't get to see him for days at a time, but in a time where pork prices are plummeting as far as they possibly can everyday (and literally, they are), we need something else to get us money. Plus the guy that used to have his spot sucked so bad they practically handed the spot to my dad. But anyways, so yeah, he's an important, busy, suit-wearing, business-meeting, over-night-trip-goer now, so I miss him. ;_;

But I get to see him tomorrow and he said he shouldn't have any more meetings for a month so yaaaaay~

Anyways, I'm off to finish my current chapter of "The Day of Revolution" (which is just getting more awesome as I go! I love it so much! It's right up there with Amatsuki!), then I'm going to beeeed.~ Yaaay. I miss Ralph. ;_; I haven't seen him in like, whut, 12 hours? lol lol lol. More like 13 or 14. tcccch.

But yeah. Night.
