Hallowe'enie! Passing classes! NaNoWriMo!

I found out today, much to my utmost joy, I actually AM passing Business Management!
I did the math - i had a 50, right on! five-o-n'-go! Hahaha! YES!

But then I did my lab, got perfect, and now my mark is a 52% ;D So excited, hurr. I should actually show up and do shit more often, lol!

But anyways, Hallowe'en pub is tomorrow, and I'm so excited. This was my favourite pub last year, and I'm totally looking forward to going again this year.

I'm either dressing in my Ninja costume (which I'm pretty sure you've all seen before, it's the one with the red kimono thing over top), oooor (and this one is more likely), my steampunk outfit. HURR.

Pictures.

This isn't the one I sewed together myself - that one is still a WIP. This is the one assembled from random articles of clothing I've been picking up at second hand stores and from around my house. I'm a little upset, though - two of my belts for this went missing. The shirt I spent hours chopping and re-sewing and dying went missing. My elbow-length lace glove(s) went missing. My fingerless black gloves went missing. the choker I hand-made went missing. I broke the thread holding up the gathers in the skirt (in the pictures I subbed in an old belt to hold it up, don't like it as much, but meh, it'll do). Various other parts were missing, too. So I'm pretty frustrated with it, it doesn't look as complete as I hoped.

But, alas, Joscelyn and Annemarie and I are all jumpin' in my Kabooki Justice tonight and motoring it off to Value Village, so we can find Annemarie a costume. I'll be picking up whatever odds and ends I can use while we're there. (btw, just in case you're behind on the times, Kabooki Justice is my car's name.)

Also, NaNoWriMo soon. Hmmm. I have a deillema here.

I can either...

1) Get started and finished on my Plant ID II final project before November (it's due at the end of Nov.) oooor
2) finish working out my plot kinks and name my characters and get my story plans all ready for NaNo.

...I don't think I'll have time for both. The reason I'm having trouble choosing is simple.
If I don't get my Plant ID II project done before november, It'll take away from precious novelling time and I will probably fail NaNoWriMo.
If I don't get my story plans done before I start, I'll get stuck in a really, really big rut (like I always do when I rush to start my not-very-well-thought-out-stories-where-my-characters-still-don't-have-names) and I won't finish.

It's really hard to decide - either way seems to lead to imminent failure of my novel, but I have this feeling that if I pick one and at least do one, I might be able to scrape by and make it through NaNoWriMo. I had to drop the story last year for Plant ID I, and I don't wanna do it again. HURR. What to do, what to do....

This week was a good week.

First off, visit my town. (if you visited it already, visit it again - it resets the population counter (but not the count) each day so if you visit it everyday it helps my population to go up)

Okay, now on to the real entry hurr.

This week was a good week.

I'm not sure why, it's just, today, while eating breakfast alone, by the window looking out at the arboretum (which is very pretty, even when half the trees are in their winter dormancy), I mused over the past week. And for some reason, it felt good. I've never felt like that about a week here, ever. I liked it.

I don't remember why it's so good - I can't really remember too much from this week. I actually don't think this week was particularly fantastic. It's just, yesterday was such a fun, amazing, stress-release day for me that today feels good. I suppose it helps I went to bed earlier than usual and even didn't have to get up for an extra hour this morning. Teehee. But anyways.

During the week I've been getting various midterms back, and the one I was fairly certain i had failed came back with a 78%. That was a very pleasant surprise. I got my report card, my highest mark is a 92%, and it's in the class I never go to/never do the work in. Hurrhurr. My average is 77%, simply because business accounting is dragging it down (67%, augh).

But yesterday, I managed to keep awake in plant prop (only to find out I forgot to cut off the terminal buds on my grafts. Oops. I hope they still take DX). I understood what business accounting was going on about. I actually did my work in computers, simply to see if i can make my mark even higher (haha). I had floral design for a nice five hours straight, and I LOVED it. Sooo relaxing! And my design was so pretty! After I finished my design and my vase, I waited for Sarah to finish (she's always last). I didn't mind, because Sarah's fun, and that class is fun. So while waiting, I found a tiny piece of oasis (the green foam arrangements go in) and started poking all the little buds off the minicarnations that were lying around into it. then I poked some little pieces of leather into it, then the caspia, then the variegated whateverthefuckthatonewas, then some fresia buds, and a weirdass leaf in the back. The teacher loved it, she wanted to give me bonus marks, but said it would be unfair to Adam (who made a corsage when he was done and got nothing). But I was fine with that, because this tiny arrangement is amazing and tiny and AWESOME! I'll have to up a picture of it later.

and last night I got drunk with Pauline, Steph, and them. Huuhuu. It was a lot of fun. But I didn't get to snag any of Justin's raspberry wine (which he was putting shots of sourpuss into, whuuut?) while he was out for a smoke, so I was a little sad, but regardless, last night was great. ^^ It wasn't even wild, just... very casual but fun/funny, it was great :D

And tonight I get to hang out with Rosstopher, hooray!

Vampires, midterms, and tests, oh my! (skipping is involved)

First things first, tests.

Had one yesterday in accounting. Nobody in that class knew what was going on so we all guessed randomly, therefore we all got random marks. I, the uncaring, lazy, non-studier, got a 70%. My roommate, the studious, serious, omgcan'tletmymarksgetbelow80 (in a good way) type, got a 45%. Sarah got a 50%, Jason got a 60%. So yeah, all random. Online tests are laaaame.

Second things, vampires.

I gave blood yesterday w00t w00t. And after dealing with the Ridgetown volunteer nurse ladies, I NEVER want to give blood in LAMBTON again. Seriously, the nurses volunteers whatevers peoples here were way awesomer and nicer and I like them. ;_;

Midterms up next.

Plant Propagation midterm was this morning, I think I passed, but only because I managed to recall some of the things I learned in Plant Science, haha. Though I'm not learning much in Plant Prop there's some comfort in knowing that Plant Science actually paid off, if its only purpose was to help me pass another class.

Last but not least, skipping.

Business accounting started ... a minute and a half ago. I decided not to go. Because it sucks and even when I do go it makes no sense. Uwaaaaah. So this means I don't have class again until 4. I really wanna take a nap, but I shouldn't, because soon Loraine will be stopping by because we got teamed up for some communications speech and I wasn't here that day so I didn't get to pick my partner/don't know what is going on but apparently an outline or something is due tomorrow. Uwaaaah. But back on topic, yeah, skipping accounting because it sucks.

PS The Live Bankai Show Code 002 just finished downloading. Eeehehehe.
And while we're on the topic of downloads, let's go down a list and see what's all on my BitTorrent right nao~

As well, Jenny had downloaded all the Digimon movies (dubbed) and gifted them to me, as well as the first two seasons of Black Lagoon (dual audio w/subs) (I think that's all there is of it, though). Soon she'll be giving me Sailor Moon, lol lol lol XD

So yeah, now it's easily understandable why I needed an external so bad <3 <3

urgishflurg.

It's cold out. And it's raining - not the kind of rain that's fun and worth while, but that stupid little caught-between-drizzling-and-spitting-and-maybe-actually-raining kinda rain that's just... uncool.

I had a midterm today, for a class I don't even understand.

I was pretty much well conned into joining some club I probably won't enjoy.

I had to work outside - in this weather - for the last three hours.

Stupid BitTorrent is telling me that, instead of taking two days to download my anime, it decided this morning that it's going to take a week or two. Which means I probably won't have Neverwinter Nights for... oooh, say, three weeks? (fuck. Seifer's even back nao D:)

...but you guys know what?

Today was an amazing day. And I feel strangely at peace with myself.

I went to Soils class at 8 this morning, for an hour, then math came... and it was optional, so I came back here and cussed at BitTorrent for being slow. An hour later, I went to Plant Science and took my midterm - considering how much I haven't learned in that class and how stupid it is, that damned midterm wasn't all that bad. I'm most likely going to pass. Then Plant ID class was just a plant tour - normally very imperative that one goes on the plant tours, but... it was for herbaceous perennials, so instead of tooling around campus and letting the long tours cut into my lunch time, I didn't go. Besides, the test isn't going to have livesamples for when that comes up, there's going to be pictures. Of them in spring. Hoo-hah. So half of my classes this morning = unvisited. And lunch?

Oh fuck yes, lunch was awesome. Free pizza, w00t w00t! And the school started a horticulture club, for the seniors and juniors of the program to be able to get to know eachother. Well over half of everyone in the Hort. program showed up, and there was FREE PIZZA (and pop - I grabbed some extras on my way out so my fridge here is stocked, hwahwa). And the club is mostly about fund raising, which is why it sucks. ...but, because we're fundraising, we'll get to go on trips and badass competitions. >=D f#@% yes. AND THERE WAS FREE PIZZA. No icky caf food for lunch, yeeey~

And after lunch, I had my three hour outdoor lab for landscape management.

And I loved it.

Sure, it was cold, and that pussyass-sucky-rainy raining, but it was fun. We tooled around on the mule and the gator after moving a few plants around in the nursery and pulling weeds outta 'em, then we weeded the gardens around the Vet. Tech building (I hate the vet. tech people, but kicking the shit out of mushrooms (literally, I got to kick them everywhere) was damn fun). Then we pruned the shit out of this poor little ground-cover shrub (called a "winter creeper", it's frickin' awesome, I want one) but since only five of us did it we like, get bonus marks or something for doing more than everyone else (and considering each lab is 5% of my final mark that rocks). Then we tooled around some more on the mule or the gator, and planted a whole shit load of mums out by the main sign (so if any of you drive by Ridgetown anytime soon, and you pass the college and see the kickass garden by the sign, think of me, awright? XD). We learned that the people from the town that are more apt for commiting doucebagger often steal plants from the nursery from the school, because they seem to be under the impression we're all funded or something, or that the plants are free for us and therefore them or something. We're nooooot. Our school has to buy those plants you assholes, so stop f#@$ing stealing our shit. Don't steal our compost either, we don't spend lots of research and time and money and work on it for you to think it's there so you can have it. ...Anyways, I'll stop ranting.

While cleaning up the garden before planting mums we found a coke bottle filled with a very questionable yellow substance. We all knew what it was, but Chris (teacher) flat out told us he refused to admit that that's what it might be; he kept on telling us he would designate it as being "aged coke that has lost it's pigments and turned flat and yellow". We decided to let him be like that, as he threw out the bottle without directly touching it. XD

After that, we tooled around A LOT more on the gator and found saplings and dug 'em up and put 'em in pots for the nursery. I found a red oak, and I fell in love with it. <3 It's my baby. I wanna take it home or something, but I need to ask Kennedy (teacher) or Chris (also teacher) first D= because Kennedy was pretty excited about it, too. -clings to tree- but he can keep his tulip trees, I want my red oak D:

Ah well.

It was a lot of fun, that's definately my favorite class. <3 <3

So today has been AWESOME so far.

If this luck of mine keeps up, hopefull BitTorrent will like, go faster and get my anime download done by tomorrow D=< I don't want to have to wait all weekend with a 3/4 finished anime download sitting around >3> It wouldn't be so bad if it let me watch the episodes, but it seems to download in random peices, so I pretty much well will have NOTHING actually on my computer until the download finishes.

Remind me to send and extra <3 to the friend who showed me how to download all the coolest free shit in the world. God, I love making friends with hackers. XD
