Off for a week - technical issues

Okay, so the cord that charges my laptop went kaput this morning. Last night it had been acting up, but this morning it just all together died on me. It's the wiring in it, I know that much.

Anyways, I gave mom my laptop's make a model, and she went down to Future Shop and got me a new charging cord. Now It's just a matter of waiting boredly for me to get it, on thursday afternoon. DX Won't be much good that late in the week, but oh well. Better than waiting for the weekend.

Right now I'm in the computer lab at school, I just finished my business project. Which was a lot easier than I expected. w00t?

But anyways, just thought I'd let you guys know what was up and why I'm not on msn and what not.

Looks like I won't be doing any writing, oekaki/dolls, drawings, reading, game-playing, music listening... GAH! I'm going to die. ;_; I'd rather be as sick as I was last week and have my compy than I would be healthy as I am now and be without. ;_;

At least I remembered to bring my book up this week.

Anyways, so I'm off to have an affair with a book while my laptop lies dead/dormant on my desk, being none the wiser to the fanciful thoguhts that shall fill my head. Ohoho, Bacon, you're a sly one.

Plans for the weekend

Driving myself home today, and I'm taking Jenny with me. Huttah!
.hack//sign isn't done downloading, but that's okay, I'll forgive it's slowness. It's worth the wait (it's going faster than Special A did, that's for sure).

When I get home we're probably going off to go hang out with Rosstopher, to watch movies :D I told him he could meet Jenny and he thought that was cool. I think they might get along awright. =3 I'll have to report on Monday whether they do or don't, lol.

Drew a few more things last night, to help myself catch up on the whole drawing-a-day resolution that I made (an by made I mean regret). As of this morning I am four days behind. (Last night I was three... stupid date-changing... bah...)

If I can have those four drawings plus four more to cover the next four days, the next sketch dump I'll do - at the midpoint of lent - will be, in my mind, a huge success. I'll track down everything I drew and post it all in one entry, even if it's already been up in my blog before. I'm actually kind of excited. I might actually mosh them all together and post 'em as a sketch dump on dA.

Oooh well. I'm off to go get brekkers then to class! ta!

Drawings, Lent, and Takeyama town!

First on the agenda, Lent!
Gave up biting my nails. So far so good! :D But even though it's Ash Wednesday I could not get ashes today ;_; and I didn't get pancakes yesterday ;_; On the weekend I hope to guilt my daddy into cooking some for me, hurrhurr. And on Sunday Fr. Steve typically gives out ashes for anyone who missed the Wednesday. But I'll feel stupid, late, and neglectful of my religion if I get them then. -sighs- ah well, what can you do.

Second on the agenda, Drawings!
I made THREE complete drawings today! :D And none of them are my characters! :D I was kinda bored and wanted to try out a few different shading techniques with my prismacolor pencil crayons, well, okay, I wanted to for a while now. But I was on Gaia (as Aerron Hull, one of my other accounts, and believe it or not, he actually looks like the guy I named him after!) and I was poking around the forums and found a subforum in the Shops section called "Art Freebies" and I was like "oooh free art!" and although no one wanted to draw Aerron (I didn't ask anyone, actually), I poked around threads and found people I DID want to test my shading ... er... draw! -winkwink- -nudgenudge-

this is the last time I'll be able to post before I'm off for the holidays. I'm going home tonight, and tomorrow afternoon mom's driving me back so I can take my last exam.

My monitor is driving me crazy. It keeps flickering darker and brighter, the bottom left corner is like, perma-dark, and it flickers really fast DX I might have a seizure. Baaah. Lappytop! Why are you letting me down so suddenly?!

Ah well. Anyways, I'm fairly certain I passed my Plant ID final exam (which was, as it turns out, worth 20%). And I got my final project back for that class and I got a 98%, so that's good. The only marks I lost were on formatting, because apparently, according to my teacher, titles are only supposed to have capital letters at the very start and no where else >3> ...wtf man. Ah well. Still got a 98% so I'm not gonna bitch.

Anyways, nearly three days and no nail biting, yaay!
And Jess; nailpolish doesn't work. Even that highly-toxic looking chrome nail polish didn't stop me when I tried to stop, way back in the day.
Instead I got this raunchy nail biting stuff tah goes on invisible but smells like rotton bananas and tastes like I wanna shoot myself. Yeah, that bad. It even lingers to the point where a litre of gingerale took absolutely none of the nasties away off my tongue. It makes me not want to put my hands anywhere near my mouth. Yeah.

Anyways, I'm off then. since I probably won't post between now and Jan. 8th (day I'm back at school) have a goof holiday, guys =3

After showering and then sprucing p my blog a little (and putting on some clean socks, my feets are feeling happies), I feel a bit better. Not by much, but this feeling of angst is no longer so interollerable. I feel like "let's just get this over with" instead of "I wanna curl up to sleep and never wake up again (except for Christmas)".

But yeah, anyways, the point in this entry:

I'm trying to stop biting my nails. Again. Just like I did about two years ago around this time (remember when I was so proud that my nail could touch the table when I poked it with my finger? yeah, that didn't last long...)
And I have decided that, as extra motivation, I will count how many days I've been "bite free". So far it's three. If I can make it to 30, I'll do something rewarding. Like, maybe I'll put off getting that Star Wars game until I haven't made my fingers bleed for a month straight. Haha, yeah, there's motivation! (But... I dunno... if I could take having to wait for Kit Fisto... I mean... Star Wars that long). And then, if I can make it, say, another 20 or 30 days, I'll do something epic, like donate $100 bucks or something to like breast cancer research or something. And then, if I can go even longer, I'll do something OUTRAGEOUS and CRAZY! (say the last three words in Scat Cat's voice (yes, the jazz musician from the Aristocats) ...liiike... dye my hair green? X3 I dunno. Haven't thought it trough entirely yet, but these are ideas I'm playing with. i need motivation to not bite my nails, and I need motivation to STAY not biting them. Because seriously, it's getting. so. painful. DX
